"I stand in solidarity with the hundreds of New York City students who took to the streets to protest Ms. DeVos confirmation as Education Secretary. Not only has Ms. DeVos demonstrated a lack of basic understanding of education policy in this country, but she also holds radical positions on LGBT rights and public school funding. Ensuring we are providing all of our children with quality education is essential for the future of our country and it despicable that it has been sold to the highest bidder. We must work together to hold Ms. DeVos and this administration accountable."
