Senator Samra Brouk joins area legislators to host community forum on the proposed 2021-2022 Executive Budget

Rochester, NY - On Feb. 17, Senator Samra Brouk joined Rochester-based members of the New York State Senate and Assembly for a public forum on the proposed 2021-2022 NYS Executive Budget. Nearly 200 people registered for the virtual event to share their testimony on how funding should be distributed in Rochester and the surrounding area.

“Open, honest dialogue with the residents of the 55th District is a priority for me as State Senator, and I was glad to host my colleagues for this event,” stated Senator Brouk. “I am so grateful to our community members for showing up and sharing deeply personal, passionate remarks about the ways that our government must better meet their needs. I look forward to working with the other members of the Rochester delegation and the Legislature to bring much-needed funding to the region.”

The budget forum was co-hosted by Senator Jeremy Cooney (SD-56), Assembly Member Harry Bronson (AD-138), Assembly Member Sarah Clark (AD-136), Assembly Member Jen Lunsford (AD-135), and Assembly Member Demond Meeks (AD-137). A recording of the event can be viewed on Facebook.
