Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently congratulated Floral Park Memorial High School’s Girls Volleyball Team on winning the 2016 Nassau County Championship.

This was the Lady Knights’ first season in Conference A-1, the top conference in the County.  The girls finished the season with an overall record of 16-4 and captured the County title with a victory over top seeded Wantagh High School.

Senator Phillips presented the team with a legislative resolution she sponsored, which was passed by the Senate, in recognition of their accomplishment. With passage of the resolution, their names and achievement will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
