Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) says an improvement project at Wyoming County Community Hospital has been awarded funding from the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program.  The award is one of 95 projects being funded across the state in an effort to improve patient care through the development of high-quality medical facilities and programs.

"Investments like this help ensure residents have access to high-quality health care services,” Senator Gallivan said.  “This funding is especially critical for hospitals and health care facilities that serve individuals and families in rural communities.”

Under the program, Wyoming County Community Hospital will receive $3,078,848 to renovate and modernize the hospital’s laboratory to preserve services in the community.

The funding was awarded under the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program, which was enacted as part of the FY 2018 Budget. The program is administered by the Department of Health and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York and will help support the objectives of the Delivery System Reform Incentive Program. The program is designed to reduce health care costs and improve the health outcomes of New Yorkers by expanding access to inpatient, primary, preventative and other ambulatory care services as part of regionally integrated healthcare delivery systems.
