Griffo and Picente hosting informational discussion with PSC, Thruway Authority and Oneida County Office for Aging and Continuing Care

New York State Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-C-Rome, and Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. are inviting residents to attend an informational discussion they are hosting with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), New York State Thruway Authority and the Oneida County Office for Aging and Continuing Care.

The free event will take place from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 at the Copper City Community Connection at 305 E. Locust St. in Rome.

Representatives from the state and county agencies will be sharing information about programs, services and resources that they offer to residents. Electric, gas, steam, telecommunications/cable and private water utilities are regulated by the Public Service Commission.

“This event is an important opportunity for residents to interact with several state and local agencies and to learn more about the resources that they offer,” Sen. Griffo said. “I would like to thank the Public Service Commission, Thruway Authority and Oneida County Office for Aging and Continuing Care for joining Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. and I for an informative discussion.”

“There are many resources available to Oneida County residents that they may be unaware of,” Picente said. “This event will educate the public and answer some specific questions that impact their lives. It is important to Sen. Griffo and I that our constituents are well-informed and our governing agencies are accountable to their needs. I thank the NYS Public Service Commission and Thruway Authority for participating in this event along with our Office for Aging and Continuing Care.”
