Senator Liz Krueger’s 2022 Virtual Roundtable for Boomers and Seniors “Aging in Place: Living Well in the Community”

Session III: “Advanced Planning Documents: Including Health Care Proxies, Power of Attorney, Wills, and Living Wills”

Wednesday, January 26th from 10 am – 11:30 am

The majority of older people want to age in place, which is possible with the right support and planning. This multi-part roundtable series will bring together experts and thought leaders to help us understand some of the vital components needed to age well in the community.

The January 26th Roundtable will offer an overview of advanced planning, and some of the important planning documents, including healthcare proxies, power of attorney, wills, trusts, and living wills. The information provided will also help you think through how to choose someone to make healthcare decisions when you are no longer able to, and how to discuss your wishes with them.

The January 26th Roundtable will feature Margaret H. Reiff, Senior Program Officer for Supportive Services, DOROT, and Erin Shahinfar, Staff Attorney, Elder Law Project/Public Benefits Unit, New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG).
