Live Streamed Events Calendar - Find out all events that the senate is streaming live to the web.

Session Calendar - Find out when the Senate is in session. The Senate live streams all proceedings. Click through to the event to watch live or an archived copy of session.

Legislative Cable Channel Calendar - Find out what events are being rebroadcasted around the state.

Public Hearing Calendar - Find out the next public hearing. The Senate attempts to live stream all public hearing events. If we can not, a copy of the hearing will be posted with in 24 - 48 hours.

Floor Calendar - Find out what bills will be discussed in the Senate Chamber.

We encourage citizens and companies to leverage and add value to Senate data by building custom applications. All data and other content used in NYSenate.gov and Open Legislation is licensed under Creative Commons copyright, and is published as data feeds in open standards formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON. There is also a freely available Application Programming Interface (API).

The Senate uses open-source software whenever possible in order to avoid paying expensive software license fees, and we release new software that we develop under open-source software licenses whenever possible, so that others in government or the private sector can leverage our work, thus maximizing the return on the investment of the tax dollars invested in its creation.
