Small businesses from Northern Manhattan and the surrounding communities will be joined by top-level representatives from New York State at a forum sponsored by Senator Adriano Espaillat, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez and other local officials. Training will be offered on how to do business with the state, including MWBE certification, licenses/permits, unemployment, workers’ compensation and other important areas.
The event will feature remarks by Yrthya Dinzey-Flores, New York State Chief Diversity Officer; Steve Cohen, Sr. Vice President and Deputy Commissioner, Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC), and other officials. Three local businesses will be honored for their outstanding contributions to the community.
