Free Memory Screening Program
- Mental Health
Senator Jack M. Martins and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) are partnering to bring a free memory screening program to Albertson. The program will take place on Monday, October 17th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Shelter Rock Public Library (165 Searingtown Road, Albertson).
Screenings consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills. The memory screening takes approximately 10 minutes and is confidential. Participants will be provided with the results on-site. Results are not a diagnosis, but a memory screening can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
The program is free of charge and open to everyone, however appointments are required and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
Appointments for the free memory screening program can be scheduled by calling Senator Martins’ office at 516-746-5924.
