Our Civil Rights Task Force and Senator Jesse Hamilton are hosting a Hate Crime Call to Action Meeting on Wednesday December 14th, at St. Franci De Sales School for the deaf on Eastern Pkwy. (see above)
We must mobilize against the current rise of Hate Crimes against ourselves and neighbors due to race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, political belief, gender identity or cultural background. The recent uptick in hate crimes deserves our full attention and the attention of law enforcement. Each of us deserves to live in a civil society free from intimidation, abuse or assault. We must suport the people who are most vulnerable inour community. We must respond, we must act.
To RSVP for the Call to Action Meeting please call 718.284.4700
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has established a hotline to report incidents and make refferals to law enforcement for further investigation. The number is 1.888.392.3644
