Brownsville Heritage celebrates West Africa:
Join us for a historical, rhythmic journey through music featuring musician Famoro Dioubate and his band Kakande. Famoro comes from an 800 year old musical tradition that celebrates African melodies and the balafon (xylophone) – an instrument that has had people dancing in West Africa since the court of Emperor Sundiata Keita back in 1235.
Free and open to the public. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
