
Senator Addabbo Hosts Free Mobile Mammogram in June

State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is bringing a free Mammogram Screening service to his constituents.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation will have their Mammogram Bus located outside of Senator Addabbo’s District Office located at 84-16 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to provide free mammogram screenings to women who register for the event through Addabbo’s office.
"Regular testing is crucial for early detection of cancer, especially breast cancer, as early diagnosis can be life-saving,” Addabbo said. “I'm proud to sponsor this event ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Thanks to the American-Italian Cancer Foundation for bringing this valuable, free service back to my district.”
In order to be eligible for the clinical breast exam, individuals must be:
• Between 40 and 79 years old with health insurance;
• Between 50 and 79 years old without health insurance;
• Currently living in New York City; and
• Had not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
Uninsured patients are welcome, there are no co-payments, and all deductibles are waived for this service. Although registration is preferred, walk-ins will be accommodated on a limited basis.
