Grandparents Safety Day Part 1

Please join me for a special two-part program.

Part One:

Grandparents Safety Lecture - Thursday, June 22nd from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

At this lecture, you will learn about fall prevention, pediatric safety for grandparents and the CarFit program, an educational program that offers seniors the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them.

Part Two:

CarFit Event - Thursday, June 29th (raindate: July 6th) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

At this session, you will bring your vehicle to the event and a team of trained technicians and/or health professionals will work with you to ensure that your car “fits” you for maximum comfort and safety.

Some examples of your car’s safety check include the following: 

• Are your mirrors properly adjusted to minimize blind spots when changing lanes?
• Is your foot reaching your gas and brake pedals without causing fatigue in your leg?
• Are you sitting closer than 10 inches to your steering wheel?

Please note: Northwell Health and AAA require your attendance at the Part One lecture in order to participate in the Part Two CarFit event.
