Free Prostate Cancer Screening

EARLY DETECTION CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE!


Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among American men. When caught early, the relative 5 year survival rate of prostate cancer is nearly 100%.

This FREE screening, sponsored by Senator Kevin Thomas and NYU Winthrop Hospital, is open to men who are:

-50 years old or older and have not been previously diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

-50 years old or older and have not had a PSA test within the past year.

-Under the age of 50 with any of the following risk factors: Family history of prostate cancer, African-American descent, history of smoking, sedentary lifestyle, exposure to Agent Orange, or exposure to World Trade Center Ground Zero.

Screenings will involve a PSA Blood Test. Results will be mailed to participant’s home within 3 weeks.

Screening is FREE, but appointments are necessary. Space is limited. Call Senator Thomas’s office at 516-739-1700 to schedule an appointment.
