The program, in partnership with Senator Phil Boyle and the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, will teach residents what to do in the event that someone overdoses on prescription drugs or Heroin. Residents will learn how to administer the lifesaving antidote called Naloxone (Narcan), which is administered through a simple nasal spray that can reverse the fatal effects of an Opioid overdose. Participants over the age of 18 will receive a free nasal Naloxone kit at the event.
To register for the program, call Senator Venditto’s office at 516-882-0630
