I was highly critical of Governor Cuomo for vetoing a plan to achieve this very same mandate relief in 2016. So I look forward to seeing the governor’s plan and enacting a law this year to get county governments and local property taxpayers out from under this unfunded state mandate. It would mark a significant mandate relief action.
