Gloster Rogers

Gloster Rogers served in the United States Army as a Private First Class.

A proud veteran and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Mr. Rogers served during a critical moment in American history. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, Mr. Rogers was drafted into the Army from 1961 to 1963. He proudly served on active duty, stationed in Munich, Germany, where he worked as a 106-gun operator. His service concluded with the rank of Private First Class, marking his commitment to duty
and his country.

Michael Gerald O’Connor

Michael Gerald O’Connor is a Vietnam War veteran, public servant, and longtime community volunteer.

A resident of Ossining, Mr. O’Connor has been committed to serving our Nation and New York State. For decades, his exceptional leadership has had a significant impact on the lives of his fellow residents.

Lawrence Badger

Lawrence Badger courageously served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and obtained the rank of Sergeant.

A graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, Mr. Badger enrolled at Mohawk Valley Community College before enlisting in the Army as a Paratrooper Infantryman while the Vietnam War was escalating. He attended basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; infantry training at Fort Gordon, Georgia; and Paratrooper Airborne training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Brian Garcia

Brian Garcia served in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Captain. 

As a Field Artillery Officer, Mr. Garcia demonstrated exceptional leadership and tactical expertise throughout his military career. As a Battery Fire Direction Officer and Battalion Fire Support Officer, he played a crucial role in coordinating artillery support for combat operations, ensuring precision and effectiveness in battlefield engagements. 

Robert McCarthy

Robert McCarthy served in the United States Marine Corps and achieved the rank of Corporal.

Mr. McCarthy enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1988 and served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He earned numerous recognitions for his bravery and service to our Nation, including the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unity Citation, Liberation of Kuwait, and the New York State Desert Storm Service Medal.

Max Donatelli

Max Donatelli served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He worked as an aircraft mechanic in Vietnam and taught English to Vietnamese children on the base.

While enlisted from 1968 to 1972, Mr. Donatelli earned several prominent honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Service Medal.

Vicki Bello

Vicki Bello enlisted in the United States Navy in 1985, serving on active duty as a Radioman.

A native New Yorker, Ms. Bello’s various commands included Adak, Alaska and Ford Island, Hawaii. After completing her active service in 1989, she continued to serve in the Naval Reserve at Fort Schuyler in the Bronx for two additional years before receiving an honorable discharge.

Luke A. Magliaro, Jr.

Luke A. Magliaro, Jr. served in the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Commander.

Mr. Magliaro served in Vietnam as a Naval Flight Officer assigned to Carrier Air Wing 21, aboard the USS Hancock operating in the Gulf of Tonkin. He participated in Operations Babylift, Frequent Wind, and Eagle Pull, as well as the recovery mission of the SS Mayagüez from Communist forces in the waters off the coast of Cambodia. Following Vietnam, he was released from active duty and continued in the Reserve assigned to the USS John F. Kennedy. He retired in 2001.

Louis Joseph Picarazzi

Louis Joseph Picarazzi, a lifelong resident of Selkirk, New York, has dedicated his life to service through military duty, public leadership, and community volunteerism. Born in 1931 to Domenick and Maria Picarazzi, Italian immigrants from the Lazio region, Mr. Picarazzi was the first of their nine children to be born in the United States. Raised during the Great Depression, his early life was shaped by the values of hard work, humility, and strong community bonds.

Daniel Luciano

Daniel Luciano served in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Specialist 4.

Mr. Luciano was born in Brooklyn in 1946. As his family’s only male child, he was eligible for a deferment during the Vietnam War era, but he refused it, and in 1966, he chose to enlist in the Army and was stationed in Korea.
