AN  ACT  to  amend  the county law, in relation to requiring counties to
  post their county codes online

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  The  county law is amended by adding a new section 503 to
read as follows:
  S 503. POSTING COUNTY CODE ONLINE. THE COUNTY  ATTORNEY  SHALL  ENSURE
THAT  THE MOST RECENT VERSION OF THE COUNTY CODE OF THE COUNTY FOR WHICH
HE OR SHE IS EMPLOYED IS POSTED AND ACCESSIBLE TO  THE  PUBLIC  FREE  OF
CHARGE  ON  EITHER  THE  COUNTY'S WEBSITE OR ANOTHER PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE
WEBSITE. IF THE COUNTY ATTORNEY USES A  SECONDARY  SOURCE  TO  POST  THE
COUNTY  CODE,  HE  OR  SHE  SHALL  ENSURE  THAT  A  LINK TO SUCH CODE IS
CONTAINED ON THE COUNTY'S WEBSITE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.

AN  ACT  to  amend the municipal home rule law, in relation to enhancing
  the current system of local law publication; and to repeal subdivision
  5 of section 27 of such law, relating to local law publication

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. Subdivision 5 of section 27 of the municipal home rule law
is repealed and a new subdivision 5 is added to read as follows:
  5.  THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL PUBLISH ANNUALLY LOCAL  LAWS  ON  THE
DEPARTMENT  OF STATE WEBSITE AND IN A SEPARATE VOLUME AS A SUPPLEMENT TO
THE SESSION LAWS, AND SHALL PUBLISH AT LEAST ANNUALLY ON THE  DEPARTMENT
OF  STATE  WEBSITE  A  COMPLETE CODIFICATION OF ALL LOCAL LAWS IN EFFECT
THAT HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY THE  LEGISLATIVE  BODY  OF  EACH  COUNTY.  THE
CLERK, OR OTHER OFFICER DESIGNATED BY THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF EACH COUN-
TY, SHALL PROVIDE LOCAL LAWS TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE IN A MANNER SPEC-
IFIED  BY  THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO FACILITATE THE PUBLICATION REQUIRE-
MENTS OF THIS SUBDIVISION.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
it shall have become a law.
