ABBATE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to terminal leave THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 14-152 to read as follows: S 14-152 TERMINAL LEAVE; MONETARY PAYMENT. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY, MEMBERS OF THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE FORCE SHALL BE AFFORDED THE OPTION OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TERMINAL LEAVE AT THE RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT, AND SHALL BE AFFORDED THE OPTION OF POSTPONING THE USE OF FIVE VACATION DAYS PER YEAR AND TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU THEREOF ON THE DATE OF RETIRE- MENT.
