AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to the number of justices
  of the supreme court in the eleventh district in the county of Queens

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Subdivision  11 of section 140-a of the judiciary law, as
amended by chapter 240 of the laws  of  2005,  is  amended  to  read  as
follows:
  11. Eleventh district, [thirty-nine] FORTY-FOUR;
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
