AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt-
  er safety instructors

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section  11-0715 of the environmental conservation law is
amended by adding a new subdivision 2-a to read as follows:
  2-A. A RESIDENT OF THE STATE WHO HAS BEEN AN INSTRUCTOR OF  A  HUNTING
SAFETY  COURSE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONER AND WHO HAS COMPLETED HIS OR
HER INSTRUCTION RELATIVE TO SUCH COURSE SHALL BE ENTITLED TO  RECEIVE  A
HUNTING LICENSE FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE NEXT LICENSE YEAR BEGINNING AFTER
THE DATE WHEN SUCH COURSE OF INSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
