AN ACT to amend the education law, in  relation  to  computing  approved
  operating expenses for school districts

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Paragraph t of subdivision 1 of section 3602 of the  educa-
tion  law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new  closing paragraph to read as
follows:
  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER  PROVISIONS  OF  LAW  TO  THE  CONTRARY,  IN
COMPUTING  APPROVED  OPERATING  EXPENSE  PURSUANT  TO THIS PARAGRAPH; AN
AMOUNT EQUAL TO (I) THE AMOUNT COMPUTED FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR  THE
TWO THOUSAND SIX--TWO THOUSAND SEVEN SCHOOL YEAR PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION
THIRTY-SEVEN  OF THIS SECTION AS THIS SECTION EXISTED ON JUNE THIRTIETH,
TWO THOUSAND SEVEN, (II) THE STATE FUNDS WHICH SUCH DISTRICT RECEIVED IN
THE TWO THOUSAND SIX--TWO THOUSAND SEVEN SCHOOL YEAR FOR  MAGNET  SCHOOL
GRANTS  TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND (III) THE STATE FUNDS WHICH SUCH DISTRICT
RECEIVED IN THE TWO THOUSAND SIX--TWO THOUSAND  SEVEN  SCHOOL  YEAR  FOR
TEACHER  SUPPORT,  SHALL BE ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE SAME WAY AS STATE FUNDS
RECEIVED FOR SUCH PURPOSE IN THE TWO THOUSAND  SIX--TWO  THOUSAND  SEVEN
SCHOOL YEAR.
  S  2.  This  act shall take effect July 1, 2009; provided, however, if
this act shall have become a law after such date it  shall  take  effect
immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on
and after July 1, 2009.

AN  ACT  to  amend  the education law, in relation to computing approved
  operating expenses for school districts

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

TO (I) THE AMOUNT COMPUTED FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE TWO  THOUSAND
SIX--TWO THOUSAND SEVEN SCHOOL YEAR PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION THIRTY-SEVEN
OF  THIS SECTION AS THIS SECTION EXISTED ON JUNE THIRTIETH, TWO THOUSAND
SEVEN, (II) THE STATE FUNDS WHICH SUCH  DISTRICT  RECEIVED  IN  THE  TWO
THOUSAND SIX--TWO THOUSAND SEVEN SCHOOL YEAR FOR MAGNET SCHOOL GRANTS TO
PUBLIC  SCHOOLS,  AND (III) THE STATE FUNDS WHICH SUCH DISTRICT RECEIVED
