AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
  relation  to clearly marking certain pedestrian crosswalks in any city
  having a population of one million or more persons

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended
by adding a new section 19-112.1 to read as follows:
  S 19-112.1 MARKING CERTAIN PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALKS AND RAMPS. ALL PEDES-
TRIAN CROSSWALKS AND RAMPS, NOT LOCATED AT STREET  INTERSECTIONS,  SHALL
BE  CLEARLY  MARKED  AND PAINTED. THIS PROVISION SHALL APPLY TO BOTH NEW
AND RECONSTRUCTED CROSSWALKS AND RAMPS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
