BILL NUMBER: S3205 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend part W3 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to sales for off-premises consumption, in relation to making certain provisions permanent PURPOSE : To make permanent the Sunday sale of liquor and wine for off premises consumption. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 8 of Part W3 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003 is amended to make permanent the Sunday sale of liquor and wine. JUSTIFICATION : In 2003 the Sunday sale of wine and liquor for off premises consumption was included in the budget. This law is set to sunset on May 15, 2008. MAZIARZ, RANZENHOFER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investi- gations and Government Operations AN ACT to amend part W3 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to sales for off-premises consumption, in relation to making certain provisions permanent THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 8 of part W3 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the alcoholic beverage control law relating to sales for off- premises consumption, as amended by section 1 of part NN-1 of chapter 57 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as follows: S 8. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that [section] SECTIONS ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, SIX AND seven of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed 5 years after such date. S 2.
