An act to amend the real property tax law, in relation to subjecting
certain state lands in Orange county to real property taxation

This bill would subject certain state lands in Orange County which
have been acquired by the Palisades Interstate park to real property

Section 1 amends Real Property Tax Law ยงยง532(e) to subject all lands
in Orange County which were acquired for public use by the Palisades
Interstate Park to real property taxation.

Section 2 provides for the effective date.

Lands which have been acquired in Orange County by the Palisades
Interstate Park have been added to the real property tax roles in
affected municipalities. However, as acquisition of new lands have
increased, the new pieces of property added to the Park have not been
similarly subject to real property taxation. This bill would therefore
add these new properties to the real property tax roles of the
corresponding municipality.
