TITLE OF BILL :
An act to amend the highway law, in relation to designating state
highway 19 in the town of Hume in the county of Allegany as the
"Almond E. Fisher Memorial Highway"
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL :
To designate a portion of the state highway system as the "Almond E.
Fisher Memorial Highway". The section of road to be named is the area
between State Highway 19 within-the Town of Hume from the wyoming
County Line to the intersection of the Allegany County Road 3 in the
Town of Hume.
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS :
It would amend the highway law by adding a new section 343-X to read
as follows: portion of the state highway system to be designated as
the "Almond E. Fisher Memorial Highway". All the portion of the state
highway system beginning at the Wyoming county line in the town of
Hume, and continuing on the state route nineteen in the town of Hume,
and terminating at the intersection of the state Highway 19 and
Allegany County Road 3 in the Town of Hume, shall be designated and be
known as the "Almond E. Fisher Memorial Highway".

AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating state high-
way 19 in the town of Hume in the county of Allegany as the "Almond E.
Fisher Memorial Highway"
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 343-x to
read as follows:
S 343-X. PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNATED AS THE
"ALMOND E. FISHER MEMORIAL HIGHWAY". ALL THAT PORTION OF THE STATE HIGH-
WAY SYSTEM BEGINNING AT THE WYOMING COUNTY LINE IN THE TOWN OF HUME, AND
CONTINUING ON STATE ROUTE NINETEEN IN THE TOWN OF HUME, AND TERMINATING
AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY NINETEEN AND ALLEGANY COUNTY ROAD
THREE IN THE TOWN OF HUME, SHALL BE DESIGNATED AND BE KNOWN AS THE
"ALMOND E. FISHER MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".
S 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
as designated pursuant to section one of this act; provided that, to
avoid any confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,
the designation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be
one of ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not
be changed as a result of this act.
S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
