AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to prevailing wages

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 220 of the labor law is amended  by  adding  a  new
subdivision 3-f to read as follows:
  3-F.  FOR  THE  PURPOSES  OF  DETERMINING  PREVAILING WAGES UNDER THIS
SECTION, PERSONS CONTRACTED TO PROVIDE A FIRE  ALARM  SYSTEM,  INCLUDING
SYSTEM  TESTING  AND  MAINTENANCE,  WHO DO NOT INSTALL SUCH ALARM SYSTEM
SHALL NOT BE DETERMINED TO BE ELECTRICIANS OR SUBCONTRACTORS OF AN ELEC-
TRICIAN.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
