TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to authorizing the town of Brookhaven
in the county of Suffolk, to create an additional entrance/exit for
Birchwood Spring Lake
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The bill authorizes the town of Brook-
haven to create an additional emergency entrance/exit for Birchwood
Spring Lake.
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Notwithstanding any provision of law to
the contrary, the town of Brookhaven is authorized to create an
entrance/exit for Birchwood Spring Lake.
JUSTIFICATION: The bill authorizes the town of Brookhaven to create an
addition entrance/exit for the Birchwood Spring Lake from the access
road located on the west side of the facility. By authorizing the town
of Brookhaven to do this, an extra entrance/exit will serve as another
means of transportation in case of an emergency.
PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: None.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None to state.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately.

AN ACT in relation to authorizing the town of Brookhaven in the county
of Suffolk, to create an additional entrance/exit for Birchwood Spring
Lake
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the
town of Brookhaven, located in the county of Suffolk, is hereby author-
ized, acting by and through its town board and upon such terms and
conditions as determined by such board to create an entrance/exit for
Birchwood Spring Lake from the access road located on the west side of
the lake, connected to Whiskey Road in the hamlet of Middle Island.
S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
