  Hoyt) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Oper-
  ations

AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation  to  a  board  of
  ethics in a city having a population of one million or more

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 808 of the general  municipal  law  is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
  6.  THE  PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO A CITY HAVING A
POPULATION OF ONE MILLION OR MORE OR TO A COUNTY,  SCHOOL  DISTRICT,  OR
OTHER PUBLIC AGENCY OR FACILITY THEREIN.
  S  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
manner as a chapter of the laws of 2010, amending the general  municipal
law  relating to conflicts of interest of municipal officers and employ-
ees, codes of ethics and boards of ethics, as  proposed  in  legislative
bills numbers S.7400-A and A.10682-A, takes effect.
