SEMINERIO, HOOPER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to sexual solicitation of minors THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The penal law is amended by adding a new section 130.18 to read as follows: S 130.18 SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR. A PERSON IS GUILTY OF SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR WHEN HE OR SHE ACCOSTS A PERSON UNDER SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE IN A PUBLIC PLACE AND SOLIC- ITS SAID PERSON TO ENGAGE IN AN ACT INVOLVING SEXUAL CONTACT. SEXUAL SOLICITATION OF A MINOR IS A CLASS B MISDEMEANOR. S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed- ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
