BRODSKY, LATIMER, BRADLEY, SPANO, PAULIN, PRET- LOW, GALEF -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to general hospital inpatient reimbursement THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 7 of section 2807-c of the public health law is amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows: (E) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS SUBDIVISION OR ANY OTHER INCONSISTENT LAW, RULE OR REGULATION, AND EFFECTIVE JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TEN, THE GENERAL HOSPITAL KNOWN AS THE WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER OPERATED BY THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY HEALTH CARE CORPORATION SHALL BE ASSIGNED TO THE SAME PEER GROUP OF MAJOR PUBLIC HOSPITALS AS THE GENERAL HOSPITALS OPERATED BY THE NEW YORK CITY HEALTH AND HOSPITALS CORPORATION FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBDIVISION.
