Provides that voters shall be instructed to select one candidate for office of district delegate to a constitutional convention; provides that ballots shall be in the form provided for in this title and the instructions on the ballot or machine direct the voter to select a single candidate for district delegate.

AN  ACT  to amend the election law, in relation to election of delegates
  to a constitutional convention

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  The election law is amended by adding a new section 7-112
to read as follows:
  S 7-112. BALLOTS; FORM FOR ELECTION OF  CONVENTION  DELEGATES.    WITH
RESPECT  TO  CANDIDATES  FOR  OFFICE OF DISTRICT DELEGATE TO A CONSTITU-
TIONAL CONVENTION, BALLOTS SHALL BE IN THE FORM  PROVIDED  FOR  IN  THIS
TITLE,  PROVIDED,  THAT  THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BALLOT OR MACHINE SHALL
DIRECT THE VOTER TO SELECT A SINGLE CANDIDATE FOR DISTRICT DELEGATE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
