AN ACT to amend the eminent domain procedure law, in relation to requir-
  ing a vote of local government representing the property  proposed  to
  be acquired through the use of eminent domain

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The eminent domain procedure law is amended by adding a new
section 204-a to read as follows:
  S 204-A. VOTE BY LOCAL GOVERNMENT.  AFTER THE ONONDAGA  COUNTY  INDUS-
TRIAL  DEVELOPMENT  AGENCY APPROVES THE USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN, THE LOCAL
GOVERNMENT REPRESENTING THE PROPERTY PROPOSED TO BE ACQUIRED THROUGH THE
USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN SHALL HOLD A VOTE TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR  NOT  TO
CONDEMN SUCH PROPERTY.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
