COLTON, MAGEE -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Governmental Operations CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE AND ASSEMBLY proposing an amendment to section 14 of article 3 of the constitution, in relation to requiring appropriate legislative committee to act upon a bill at the request of the sponsor Section 1. Resolved (if the Senate concur), That section 14 of arti- cle 3 of the constitution be amended by adding a new undesignated para- graph to read as follows: UPON REQUEST OF THE SPONSOR OF A BILL, THE COMMITTEE TO WHICH A BILL HAS BEEN REFERRED SHALL VOTE UPON WHETHER OR NOT SUCH BILL SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE FLOOR OF ITS RESPECTIVE HOUSE FOR ACTION BY SUCH HOUSE. S 2. Resolved (if the Senate concur), That the foregoing amendment be referred to the first regular legislative session convening after the next succeeding general election of members of the assembly, and, in conformity with section 1 of article 19 of the constitution, be published for 3 months previous to the time of such election.
