AN ACT to amend the labor law, in  relation  to  authorizing  courts  to
  issue a permanent injunction against certain individuals

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivisions 7, 8 and 9 of section 212-a of the  labor  law
are renumbered subdivisions 8, 9 and 10 and a new subdivision 7 is added
to read as follows:
  7. A. A DISTRICT COURT FOR GOOD CAUSE SHOWN IN A HEARING AND ON APPLI-
CATION  BY  A  FARM  WORKER  OR  THE WORKERS' REPRESENTATIVE MAY GRANT A
TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT INJUNCTION TO PROHIBIT A  PERSON  FROM  VIOLATING
THIS CHAPTER OR A RULE ADOPTED UNDER THIS CHAPTER.
  B. A PERSON SUBJECT TO A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT INJUNCTION UNDER PARA-
GRAPH A OF THIS SUBDIVISION MAY APPEAL TO THE SUPREME COURT, AS IN OTHER
CASES.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
