AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
  relation to exterior advertising by certain licensed vehicles

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision a of section 19-525 of the administrative  code
of  the  city of New York, as amended by local law number 83 of the city
of New York for the year 1992, is amended to read as follows:
  a. No vehicle licensed pursuant to  the  provisions  of  this  chapter
shall  carry any advertising on the exterior of such vehicle, including,
BUT NOT LIMITED TO, its  roof  and  trunk,  EXTERIOR  BODY,  TRUNK  UNIT
DESIGNS,  INTERIOR PANELS, INTERIOR DIGITAL PROGRAMS, A TAXI TOP CANOPY,
OR INTERIOR AUDIO PROGRAMS unless the owner  thereof  shall  first  have
obtained from the commission a permit to carry such exterior OR INTERIOR
advertising.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
it shall  have become a law.
