Repeals provisions prohibiting political contributions by certain organizations and permitting other entities to make limited contributions; bans any contribution by anything other than a natural person made in support of any association organized or maintained for political purposes, or for, or in aid of any political purpose whatever or for the reimbursement or indemnification of any person for moneys of property so used; provides that any individual or other entity who participates in, aids, abets or advises or consents to any such violations, and any person or other entity who solicits or knowingly receives any money or property in violation of this section, shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.

AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to  prohibiting  political
  contributions  by  anything  other than a natural person and repealing
  section 14-116 of the election law  relating  to  the  prohibition  of
  political contributions by certain organizations

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 14-116 of the election law is REPEALED  and  a  new
section 14-116 is added to read as follows:
  S  14-116.  POLITICAL  CONTRIBUTIONS  BY ANYTHING OTHER THAN A NATURAL
PERSON PROHIBITED. NO CONTRIBUTION BY  ANYTHING  OTHER  THAN  A  NATURAL
PERSON MAY BE MADE IN SUPPORT OF ANY ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED OR MAINTAINED
FOR  POLITICAL PURPOSES, OR FOR OR IN AID OF ANY CANDIDATE FOR POLITICAL
OFFICE OR FOR NOMINATION FOR SUCH OFFICE, OR FOR ANY  POLITICAL  PURPOSE
WHATEVER,  OR FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OR INDEMNIFICATION OF ANY PERSON FOR
MONEYS OR PROPERTY SO USED. ANY PERSON OR OTHER ENTITY WHO  PARTICIPATES
IN,  AIDS,  ABETS,  ADVISES,  OR  CONSENTS TO ANY SUCH VIOLATIONS OR ANY
PERSON OR OTHER ENTITY WHO SOLICITS OR KNOWINGLY RECEIVES ANY  MONEY  OR
PROPERTY  IN  VIOLATION  OF  THIS  SECTION  SHALL BE GUILTY OF A CLASS A
MISDEMEANOR.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed-
ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
