AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation  to  providing  for
  continued  state  reimbursement  for health services to pre-school and
  school age children

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section  364-j  of  the social services law is amended by
adding a new subdivision 25 to read as follows:
  25. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISION OF THIS  SECTION  OR  OF  ANY  OTHER
PROVISION  OF  LAW  TO  THE CONTRARY, HEALTH SERVICES FOR PRE-SCHOOL AND
SCHOOL  AGE  CHILDREN  PROVIDED  PURSUANT   TO   CHAPTER   ONE   HUNDRED
NINETY-EIGHT  OF THE LAWS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT, AS AMENDED,
SHALL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE STATE REIMBURSEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT-A OF THIS TITLE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the  amend-
ments to section 364-j of the social services law made by section one of
this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed
repealed therewith.
