AN  ACT  to  amend the education law, in relation to individual services
  provided by boards  of  cooperative  educational  services  to  school
  districts

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Paragraph d of subdivision 4 of section 1950 of the  educa-
tion law is amended by adding a new subparagraph 6 to read as follows:
  (6)  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO
THE CONTRARY, A BOARD OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES MAY PROVIDE  A
SPECIFIC  SERVICE, AUTHORIZED BY THIS PARAGRAPH, TO ANY COMPONENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT REQUESTING SUCH SERVICE. THE PROVISIONS OF  SUCH  SERVICE  WILL
NOT  NECESSITATE  THE  PROVISIONS  OF ANY OTHER SERVICE NOT REQUESTED BY
SUCH SCHOOL DISTRICT.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
