AN  ACT  to  amend  the  family  court  act,  in  relation  to orders of
  protection

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. Section 154-c of the family court act is amended by adding
a new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
  4. VIOLATION OF ORDERS OF PROTECTION. IF AN ADULT RESPONDENT  VIOLATES
AN  ORDER  OF PROTECTION ISSUED UNDER ARTICLES FOUR, FIVE, SIX AND EIGHT
OF THIS ACT, HE OR SHE SHALL BE TAKEN TO THE MOST ACCESSIBLE  MAGISTRATE
AND  BE  ARRAIGNED  IN  ACCORDANCE  WITH  SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION ONE
HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE OF THIS PART.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
