AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to establishing a  second
  county court judgeship in the county of Cayuga

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 5 of section 182 of the judiciary law, as added
by chapter 699 of the laws of 1969, is amended to read as follows:
  5. Cayuga, [one] TWO;
  S 2. An additional office of judge of the county court of  the  county
of  Cayuga  is  hereby  established. Each person holding such additional
office shall also act as and discharge the duties of county court judge,
judge of the family court and surrogate of such county.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately; provided,  however,  that
the  additional  office  of county judge established pursuant to section
one of this act shall first be  filled  at  the  general  election  next
succeeding  the  effective  date of this act and shall first take office
the first of January next succeeding the general election.
