AN ACT to amend chapter 50 of the laws of 1993 enacting the state  oper-
  ations  budget,  in  relation  to the application of certain labor law
  fees to public housing authorities

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  That  part of section 1 of chapter 50 of the laws of 1993
enacting the state operations budget, entitled "department of labor," as
amended by chapter 259, section 1, of the laws of 1993,  is  amended  by
adding thereto the items hereinbelow set forth in italics as follows:
                           DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
                                SCHEDULE
Notwithstanding  any  inconsistent provision of law, as of
   the effective date of sections 291 through 294 of chap-
   ter 190 of the laws of 1990, the fee  requirements  set
   forth  in  section  30  and article 30 of the labor law
   shall continue to apply to all public and private enti-
   ties OTHER THAN PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITIES,  including,
   but  not  limited to, the state, any subdivision of the
   state, any government agency or instrumentality thereof
   OTHER THAN A PUBLIC HOUSING  AUTHORITY,  including  any
   entity  created  by  one or more states or subdivisions
   thereof, any public authority OTHER THAN A PUBLIC HOUS-
   ING AUTHORITY, any public or private  corporation,  any
   person,  company,  unincorporated association, firm, or
   partnership and any owner or operator thereof.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and  shall  be  deemed  to
have been in full force and effect on and after April 1, 2009.
