LENTOL -- (at request of the Crime Victims Board) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to repeal subdivision 6 of section 60.35 of the penal law, relat- ing to exempting defendants who pay restitution or reparation from the mandatory surcharge and crime victim assistance fee THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 6 of section 60.35 of the penal law is REPEALED. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to all crimes committed on or after such effective date. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD07713-01-9
