AN  ACT  in  relation to the establishment of a warm water fish hatchery
  and research facility

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  The  commissioner of environmental conservation is hereby
authorized and directed to establish and  maintain  a  warm  water  fish
species  hatchery  and  research  facility in the county of Erie for the
purpose of stocking the New York waters of Lake  Erie  with  warm  water
fish  species.  The  commissioner  of  environmental  conservation shall
establish such hatchery and research facility  in  a  timely  manner  to
provide  for  commencing  the stocking of Lake Erie with warm water fish
species on or before August 1, 2010.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
