S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8174 2009-2010 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y May 6, 2009 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. TOWNSEND, FINCH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to allowing Onondaga county water authority to operate and maintain the town of Constantia water system THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 24 of section 1154 of the public authorities law, as amended by chapter 647 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as follows: 24. Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, to purchase, construct, lease and operate water systems and properties in the towns of Sullivan, Lenox, Lincoln, Volney, Verona, Vienna, Hannibal, Hastings, Minetto, Schroeppel, Scriba, Oswego, West Monroe, Annsville, Granby, CONSTANTIA and Sterling to enter into any contract authorized by this section with any municipality within the territorial limits of said towns, and to supply and sell any water not needed in the county of Onondaga at retail or at wholesale to individual consumers within the territorial limits of said towns.
