AN ACT to authorize the village of Goshen in Orange  county  to  appoint
  Michael Wilson to a full-time competitive police officer position

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of  the  civil
service law, the village of Goshen in Orange county is hereby authorized
and  directed,  upon  the  approval of the village board of trustees, to
appoint Michael Wilson, who is currently a part-time police officer  for
the  village  of  Goshen  police  department, to a full-time competitive
position as a police officer with the police department of such village.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
