AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation  to  the  sale  of
  aerosol dusting products to persons under the age of eighteen

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
399-i to read as follows:
  S 399-I. SALE OF AEROSOL DUSTING PRODUCTS TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE  OF
EIGHTEEN.  1.  NO  AEROSOL DUSTING PRODUCT OR SIMILAR PRODUCT CONTAINING
THE PROPELLANT R2 OR OTHER SIMILAR PROPELLANT SHALL BE  SOLD  AT  RETAIL
WITHIN THE STATE TO ANY PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN.
  2.  A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE PUNISHABLE BY A CIVIL PENALTY
NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth  day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
