AN ACT authorizing James J. Colacino to receive a waiver of the time
limit provisions to regain his police certification
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
James J. Colacino shall be granted a waiver of the police certification
course from the division of criminal justice services. James J. Colacino
retired from the village of Newark as a police officer on June 27, 1995.
On December 20, 1998, James J. Colacino's police certification expired.
On August 5, 1999, he began employment with the village of Clyde police
department and continued employment for four years. Such certification
was a lapse of 39 days. James J. Colacino shall be authorized to receive
a waiver of his police certification lapse, if on or before December 31,
2010, he shall file an application with the division of criminal justice
services.
S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
