AN ACT to amend the general obligations law, in relation to making tech-
  nical corrections

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. Section 3-305 of the general obligations law is amended to
read as follows:
  S 3-305. Contract of married [woman] PERSON not to  bind  [husband]  A
SPOUSE. A contract made by a married [woman] PERSON does not bind HIS OR
her [husband] SPOUSE or his OR HER property.
  S  2.  Section 3-307 of the general obligations law is amended to read
as follows:
  S 3-307. Liability of [husband] A  SPOUSE  for  antenuptial  debts.  A
[husband]  SPOUSE  who  acquires property of his [wife] OR HER SPOUSE by
antenuptial contract or otherwise,  is  liable  for  HIS  OR  her  debts
contracted  before  marriage,  but only to the extent of the property so
acquired.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
