  and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education

AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to biennial  testing  for
  school bus drivers

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The opening paragraph of section 3624 of the education  law
is  designated subdivision 1 and a new subdivision 2 is added to read as
follows:
  2. THE COMMISSIONER SHALL ADOPT AND PROMULGATE RULES  AND  REGULATIONS
REQUIRING THAT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED BIENNIAL STATE MANDATED BUS DRIVER
TESTS  PURSUANT  TO  15  NYCRR 6.11 (A)-(B) AND 15 NYCRR 6.12 (A)-(B) BE
PORTABLE BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
